This is a plexiglass pop art colorful sacred heart pendant designed by Salvatore Etre Borrelli & produced with high quality perspex.

I was born and lived in Naples for up to 33 years. The sacred heart is a Neapolitan symbol, a symbol that I have seen, felt, touched, sniffed all my life in the streets, in the alleys of the city that gave me life.

The ex-voto is a symbol that forged my aesthetics because it is strictly mystical as rigorously agnostic. It indicates a stage of feeling superior: strength, passion, aptitude, energy.

But having brass sacred, ancient, heavy and mastodontic hearts, beautiful but old in the perception of the modern world, I thought that the best way to pay homage to this metaphysical symbol was to transfer it to the world that best suits me: That of plastic material and that of postmodern transformation.
